2 days before UT

I'm feeling stress-out by the upcoming UT.

Firstly, there is a need to maintain the grade, no. I mean to pull up the grades for application to Universities. Sorry, University cause ultimately, we can only choose 1 out of the rest?

Secondly, the constant need to return to CMPB for medical check is driving me crazy, I just can't sleep. That reminds me of Britney Spear's "Crazy", yeah, I am going.

Thirdly, motivation seem to be sapped away by immense distractions around me. I can't seem to seat down and focus.

Wish me luck, this coming Thursday and Friday is CRUNCH TIME!

Nonetheless, I'm happy to have went out with Wei Shan to do some shopping, yes! I bought a bunch of necessary items and all, must say, it does feel good. Someone say, orgasmic in a decent form?

T.G.I.Fridays

TGIF, one of the many modern acronym created by netizens.

T.G.I.F a.k.a (also known as) Thank God It's Friday, commonly used by majority of us exclaiming the end of the weekday and the arrival of weekends!

I recall the jubilation whenever it was Friday during the secondary school days: Band Practice on Saturdays + Hanging out with Band mates never felt so good!

Anyway, referring back to the post on FYP 2 Assessment, BFF and I met up for dinner, at the same time, for a good old bitch fits moments.

Not knowing where to dine for our dinner, BFF suggested the trying of T.G.I.Fridays, according to his message; it should cost around $15-20 but HIS WRONG! (I'll talk about it later)

T.G.I.Fridays is located just beside Heeren, it is pretty hard to miss out the diner, since the outlook is rather attention grabbing:

Told you, it is that prominent!

Waited for a moment before the staff attended both of us, as they were other people in front of us.

I wish that would happen!

You know, for someone like me, with high sweat gland. A place without air-con is a huge turn off, however in the case of TGIF, I was pleasantly surprise that I barely broke a sweat throughout the dinner. Not forgetting the natural wind, which was rather strong that evening, loved such ambiance?

TGIF brings out a vibe that is rather chilling and it certainly made one feels at ease.

Oh and the portion of serving is rather huge for me, for eaters with small appetite might wanna consider sharing their mains.

The price ranges around $20-30 odd for the main courses. Soft drinks cost around $4.90++, wait. I know you guys might say, “that’s absurd and all” but there’s the free refill available, so it might still be quite a good deal.

In addition, we were rather amazed by the level of service provided by the staff, examples.

For the food I ordered, I felt that the fries were way too salty for me, and was bitching to BFF about it. BFF said it is quite common for fries to be rather salty, which reminded me of the Fish & Chips in Australia. The staff, by the name of Evelyn was super attentive. She noticed the frown and asked if everything was all right. , after knowing that I was not that delighted over the amount of salt, she suggested the replacement of fries with lesser salt.

Moments later, she came back with the lesser amount of salted fries and ensured that I was okay with the saltiness before leaving to attend other consumers, most importantly, throughout the service delivery, she constantly smiled to us.

Fries that were coated with way too much salt!

Ultimately, I recommend T.G.I.Fridays, if price is not much of an issue, and if you love the non air-conditioned environment then do consider trying this diner, for it would be quite a deal: Large portion and chill-lax mode, what else can we bargain for?

Goodbye RP

Goodbye RP

Today marks the final lesson for me, before the posting of photos for both Mr. Allen Goh's and Ms. Christine Khoo's lesson, allow me to do some reflection over the past 3 years.

I'll miss the following task, which occurred as our mundane routine:
  • No more First Meeting Template (FMT)/ Problem Definition Template (PDT)
  • No more PPT
  • No more Reflection Journal, Evaluations, Quiz
  • No more asking of questions during 3rd meeting
  • No more soggy fries from E1's Western Food
  • No more bubble tea
  • No more 902, 903 & 169
Not forgetting the friends I've made throughout the years in RP.

Be it the bitch fits, rare but emotional cry, FYP mates, team mates for various problems in different modules. Once again, thank you everyone who appeared during this period.

My thoughts, only.

Unhappy...Slightly

I know it's difficult to please someone like me, ask my dear FYP mates: MELTZ and they'll tell you a whole lot of my demands; from words to sentence structure even to colors.

Yes, that's me. The difficult and slightly dark personnel in the team.

Then again, just as I had the phone conversation with D, I cannot help but think of is this how D is going to be in the near future?

I thought: "Is there by any chance D could be more active, in a way SPEAK instead of just being the listener?" Even robots needs to have a rest and attain some "quiet moment", let alone humans!

Wishing D could and would understand it but I doubt D can. D's been complaining of being tired, overworked and deprived of sleep, maybe D should do some running and whatever knots.

The sudden change of plan saddens me cause that means seeing D only on weekend. To make matters worst, D replied with: "Yupp. You'll understand such feeling when you work in the future."

Thanks... the supposedly cheer up move failed and made me unhappy.

I just wanna let it out.

FYP 2 Assessment

FYP 2 Assessment

8 days ago, which was 23 Jan 2010 marked the assessment date for students of School Of Hospitality. Yes, that was a Saturday.

I won't deny the constant fear and worry that accumulated itself over the days, D was a little annoyed by my constant repetition of whine. :(

See, during the last semester of FYP 1 Assessment, I had a bad experience. Throughout the assessment period, everything was fine, even great as I say, in retrospect that is.

However, when the results were released, I failed to achieved what I set out to obtained but after a series of questionings to the relevant stakeholders, the air was cleared.

Turns out, a "Computer Glitch" was the culprit behind the misleading grade, which was later then changed to  the satisfying grade I've long for.

Tell me, for someone who's been through such "traumatizing" experience, is it not much of an obstacle for him/her to overcome it, again?

In anyway, there I was prepping myself with all the prep talk, "to give it all & just do my best" etc.

Met up with MELTZ before our assessment period: 3-4pm (OMG, so late. In case your wondering, we were the second last slot for day.... :( )

Candid moment with Esther and Li Shi.

I recall the random questions Zoey and Esther asked before we left Food Haven. "What's Theoretical Sampling?".

Thankfully, I came prepared! Hahaha.

Similar with every assessment, before its the team's turn, we have to be in a Waiting Room and while we were there, we bumped into Wei Shan's team & Dee's team. We laughed and joked about stuff before its our individual team's turn.

Many said I resemble a Tree for the day... What the hell.

-_-"

For evidence, see below:

While the ladies head for the restroom, there I was cam-whoring, me think.

Before we head to the assessment room, we thought of taking a MELTZ shot and asked Zinc to do the honor but GUESS WHAT? She din know how to use the camera... Great...

End up, Dee took over (Phew, luckily Dee is rather Tech-savvy). *winks*

I love this pic! (Zoey, Mabel, Esther, Li Shi and Myself)

Decided to not standardize a color this time round and just do some color clashing. What they call this?

Unity Through Diversity.

Don't you feel motivated by my random phrase?!

Assessment started rather awkward for the members had me giving out the Stickkey (our form of RFID Pass for our FYP) to the assessors. For one, it lighten the environment and calm us down significantly. Two, you can see it as a form of bribe but of genuine thoughts and actions, after all, they would need to see the RFID Pass for better explanation. :)

My first assessor was Mr. Lee, which was good, sort of like a prep mode. And then was Ms. Tristano, who is nice though the Q&A was rather short. Thirdly, was Ms. Teo aka Josephine, oh, she's so FUNNY! We were practically laughing along the 10min frame. Last but not least, Mr. Monteras who said our report was of good quality!

Flattered, I must say. It warms the heart knowing and even getting to hear a Live compliment from assessors, though the final grade is dependent on all four assessors.

All I could say, I gave my best and placed every effort throughout the phase and without a doubt, hope for the best.

MELTZ and Wei Shan slacked around in RP for a moment, and that usually speaks PHOTO TAKING SESSIONS:

Ooh, I managed to give a WIDE EYE for this shot!

This happened when I was SORT OF dancing along to 'Sorry, Sorry' by SuJu.

Obviously, I look super candid but I find it interesting though. What do you think, D?

Z always dish out random and totally unexpected stunts on us!

M stealing the shots!

E and Z should consider being COMEDIANS, seriously!

With Mabel (who always wear striking heels, too but it wasn't captured!)

With Ms. Yip

MELTZ with Ms. Yip! Love it too = )

This is NICE

While heading to take Bus 903, the sun was being a B-eech, "showering" us with the warm UV rays and all which resulted to this:

Funny eh?

Okay, what was this again? To see the hair color?
